what we have here is a Bunch of ULTRA LONERS and GHOULS from the X GENERATION born in Toulouse/Bordeaux in the south of france, they have like zero perspective in a bright future neither enjoyed a happy childhood, they got heart broken like weekly at least once and along with that comes a tremendous fascination in drinking alcohol, the first of the 3 is Marco Fatal who plays the guitar and sings and formed the Legendary NOISE singing-group THE FATALS (as well in: Kung Fu Escelators, Mighty Gogo Players, Complications) in 2001 together with Wlad on the Drums (as well in: the Beach Bitches, Blew up).well the 3rd in the band is Lo Spider of the Jerry Spider Gang (as well in : the Space Beatnicks,Dividers) and Destroys his Guitar and has his own Recording Studio, Swampland where he records Destination Lonely and Countless French and International Acts DESTINATION LONELY formed in 2010 and having several releases on diferent Record Labels such as Nasty Products and Les Disques Steak and shared Stage with the Bassholes, Country Teasers, Oblivians , Cheater Slicks etc

Izobel Carcia (USA)
raised in LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA. Daughter of a Mexican lawyer. Classically trained and later classically untrained multi-instrumentalist. Ran away to Bern, Switzerland and met REVEREND BEATMAN
who took her in like a lost poodle. Since age 16 Garcia has performed all over LA with her
screeching Farfisa in short-lived garage punk bands..and in more recent years throughout Europe and New Zealand with her own project Manos del Chango (2014-2017) alongside Voodoo Rhythm’s Delaney Davidson. With a style coined Habanero Blues... she’s known to mix Punk, Blues, and Mexican Ranchera music. A commanding performer, always from the heart.. makes for a unique and powerful yin & yang collaboration with the one and only REVEREND BEAT-MAN.

Trixie and the Trainwrecks (USA/DE)
Wild child, Trixie Trainwreck aka Trinity Sarratt was born in San Francisco and moved to Berlin on a whim when she was 18. She started her musical endeavors in the underground trains back in 1999 and went on to make a name for herself working in and promoting shows in almost every bar in town as well as touring the EU and the USA with a handful of bands (Kamikaze Queens, Cry Babies, Runaway Brides) and most recently with her one woman show as Trixie Trainwreck No Man Band. She’s probably the hardest working girl in showbiz...and a mother, too!!

Degurutieni (JAP)
Alco Degurutieni was born in the Nishinari Ghetto’s of Osaka in the end 60’s (Alco Degurutieni: that time in the 1970s was a rough time for everybody once a month riots in the streets red lights of prostitution parlours and yakuza “mafia” were familiar to us every day. These memories of youthful chaos have been a catalyst for my Peter Pan Syndrome since then) Degurutieni creates harmony through juxtaposition, extracting melody from chaos and decadence from junk. At 13 he got his first boombox and became the best customer at his local rental record shop, working his way through all genres from the Beach Boys to Black Sabbath. From 16 he began to create his own songs using the only things he had access to; junk, altered children's toys, and a beat up right tape recorder. All of these still play an important role in his music production today.
on that album you here ‚Acme in the afternoon‘ a true hit songs Tom Waits blues jazz burlesque then you got ‚Blur Blur Blur‘ super minimalistic lost in space blues or the incredible ‚Midnight Express‘ with a oriental trash flair that gives you the blade runner touch , the Fanfare Rockin tune ‚13th floor city‘ feat Orchestre du Belgistan (from Belgium) or my fave ‚Dreaming party‘ that sounds like a psychedelic horror movie After-Trip

Nestter Donuts (ES)
from Barcelona in Spain comes the most amazing Flamenco Trash one man band.. raised by Gipsy’s and in the dirtiest clubs in and around Spain, he’s deep in wild Trash Rock’n’Roll and on the other hand his roots in Flamenco Music transported by his parents to little Nestter when he still was a baby,

The Sex Organs (NL/CH)
In the year 2013 NASA received a strange signal from the Andromeda galaxy. After several months of study by some of the top linguistics experts on the planet the signal was translated and discovered to be a request to visit the planet Earth by two representatives of a planet inhabited by beings resembling human sexual organs. The message also stated that The Sex Organs had been monitoring human sexual activity for the last several decades and felt that it was time to come to our planet because "Human sexuality has become wrong and un-sexy". The Sex Organs started their tour of Earth at The Funtastic Dracula Carnival in 2014 and plan on holding seminars and "noise therapy sessions" at the hottest rock and roll festivals in Europe this year such as Cosmic Trip Festival in France and Hipsville in Surrey, U.K. The Sex Organs recorded their first Vinyl in the red light district of Amsterdam, Holland and found Voodoo Rhytm in Bern Switzerland to be the sexiest label for their First release. Earlier this year The Sex Organs signed an exclusive recording contract with Voodoo Rhythm Records in Bern, Switzerland to get their message of "good sex" and "loud noises" to the rest of the human race.

Roy and the Devils Motorcycle (CH)
For the past 20 years, Roy and the devil's Motorcycle have been tenaciously and joyously doing their own thing. The 3 brothers picked up guitars and set out on a mission to set their, and our, little worlds on fire. All this time and attitude have given them a raw power, where reverb, distortion and harmonics swirl and boil, lurch and whip in the melting pot. Initially, their influences seem obvious: old, dusty blues records, gospel, dirty garage, Spacemen 3, 13th Floor Elevators, the Velvets, Souled American, Gibson bros; but dig deeper and their love of free-running experimentalists like Lee "Scratch" Perry, Red Krayola and Godz becomes disorientatingly clear. After a few singles on the super-underground Record Junkie label, they unleashed their raging punk-blues FORGOTTEN MILLION SELLERS cult classic l.p. on the Swiss primitive Voodoo Rhythm label in 1998. Some maturing (and only a little mellowing) led to the scorched-earth soundtrack BECAUSE OF WOMEN in 2006. By this time they'd already been regularly touring across the continent, playing with the likes of Acid Mothers Temple, Sonic Boom/Spectrum, Black Lips, Disappears, Strange Boys, Psychic TV, and Martin Rev (SUICIDE). Always self-made to the bone, cutting their own path at their home studio in rural Switzerland, the band released their 3rd album in spring 2012, TELL IT TO THE PEOPLE, a knife-cut crystalline transmission from the psychedelic world of Roys.

The Devils (IT)
FROM NAPLES,ITALY COMES THAT EAR BLEEDING MINIMALISTIC BLASPHEMY GUITAR WALL BLUES ROCKABILLY NOISE TRASH ROCK’N’ROLL TORNADO!! MADE BY ONLY 2 PERSONS
The Devils named themselves after Ken Russel's super B-Movie 'the devils' from 1971, inspired by listening to Blues and Punk and many other Underground Bands (The Cramps, Hound Dog Taylor, The Gories, Jon Spencer, Fugazi, Hasil Adkins, The Oblivians etc) they formed their own band in 2015 in Naples Italy, the Deep South of Italy. Gianni Vessella plays the Guitar and Sings and Erica Toraldo hits the Drums and Screams in the Microphone. In the Beginning they did Countless Shows in Italy DIY and France where they meet up with Jim Diamond from the Dirtbombs who recorded their first Full Length album, the same Day Reverend Beat-Man from Voodoo Rhythm records was in the same town and got their recordings and signed them up on the Label. This is a Huge Wall of Guitar Fuzz and Noise and Vocals as Stupid and Minimalistic as it gets, this is No Bob Dylan poetry thats pure Evil and Lots of Fun !! Chainsaw Massacre Hysteric Ear bleeding Vocals and the Drummer probably Eats Speed and Power Food for Breakfast, they are Dressed up as Preacher and Nun and Destroy every Stage that they can play on, they Are Hot and Wild and Very Loud !!!!!

Honshu Wolves (CH)
From the back alleys in Bern Switzerland, chiseled into the foggy cold mountains Maryanne Shewolf and her pack sing their very own trippy psychedelic Desert Gospel Delta Space Blues

the Dead Brothers (CH)
The Dead Brother's roots fetch far in musical history. They started digging their graves in 1998. Punk rock and country blues are part of their DNA. So are the stage antics of Cab Calloway, Kurt Weill's Three penny opera and the european folklore instrumental excellency. 7 Full lenght Albums where Released on Voodoo Rhythm Records ,and countless Coopertaions with TV And Movie (BBC Documentry (The Genious of Madame Curie - 2013) and theatre (Theater Basel: 3 Penny Opera) etc. Alain Croubalian the Head of the Dead Surrounded many influential musicians around him from the Swiss Underground and Folkloristic Music Scene for ages (Landstrichmusig, Patent Ochsner, Echo, d'Giigemaa), others have a foot in theater, comedy, cinema and Vaudeville (Stadt Theater Hannover, les Trois Suisses, 9 Volt Nelly) some are orchestra directors and some italo crooners, Alain Croubalian Started his Music Career in the early 80’s with the band Les Maniacs (Stop itBaby records) in 1998 the had enough from electric music and formed the Dead Brothers the one and only Funeral Real Heavy Metal band (they had um to 5 Tubas in the band) .. and all acoustic instruments they Created the weirdest mix of Folklore and Modern Music ever came out of Switzerland

I94-BAR (AUS)
A good judge once said that when Voodoo Rhythm releases are good, they’re very good. If you’re applying the label motto, “Music to ruin any party”, this compilation borders on great. Mind you, you’re also inviting the wrong kind of people to your knees-ups. Voodoo Rhythm is resuming its compilation series after a long lay-off and there’s no better place for the uninitiated to dive in. Garage Rock is such an overused term. Voodoo Rhythm trade in it – and then some. If it’s not too ableist, let’s call their catalogue “Helen Keller Mistaking a Vegetable Slicer for a Braille Textbook” and be done with it. The aural output is typically raw, violent and bloody.
Label honcho Beat-Man started releasing his own records out of home country Switzerland in the last century because nobody else would, and has been making an art form out of being a cottage industry ever since, touring extensively on the smell of an oily rag. He’s also perfected working with the weird and wonderful from around the globe.
Naturally, Beat-Man figures prominently. His band the Monsters play scuzzy garage rock and open the collection with “Smell My Tongue”, a confronting assault on the ears. As Reverend Beat-Man, the label’s main-man contorts his vocal chords and shoves them into places they don’t belong, pairing with Isobel Garcia for the warped blues plod of “Black Metal”.
The gals rock too: Garcia is an LA-based chica who contributes her own swampy cocktail shaker, “Baby OK”. Loose and spirited with some ambling, rambling keys and big on the reverb. Greasy harmonica and riffing guitar sit behind the vocal as Trixie and the Trainwrecks deliver “Too Good To Be True”, and it’s ultimately a conventional Chicago blues stomp.
Honshu Wolves are led by Maryanne Shewolf and “Tell Me” is the most radio-friendly song here. The label calls them a “Delta Blues Desert Gospel Space Punk Sensation” and there’s a strange and brooding edge to their contribution that’s heightened by some smoky guitar-work. Evocative.
Want the hard stuff? Destination Lonely brings it by the barrel-load with their distorted Troggs desecration, “I Want You”. The MC5 cover pales. Bad Mojos really do what they say on “Crash and Burn”, approaching the sound of feedtime, while “No Make Up” from Slorks sounds like it was recorded in a toilet, with a cacophony of distortion (instead of a flush), to take it out. No shame in that.
Roy and the Devil’s Motorcycle (“Learn to Lose”) and The Devils (“Coitus Interruptus From a Priest”) take mutual pleasure in de-volving the blues in their own way. The former has been at this for 20 years and formed in rural Switzerland. They have a psychedelic twist. Listen to their music long enough and you won’t need drugs. “Learn to Lose” is a good example.
The Devils are altogether more straight-up, choosing to put the blues through a blender. “Coitus…” pins itself to a relentless rhythm and soprano vocals and powers long like a runaway train.
Degurutieni is from Japan and weave a weird musical spell of exotica-meets-cocktail-music that works to a tee on “Acme in the Afternoon”. Percussion and a melodious bass-line propel Alec Degurutieni’s beguiling, other-worldy vocal before a synthesised (toy?) horn takes it out.
A self-described Flamenco trash one-man band from Spain, Nesttler Donuts, makes a mark with the short and emphatic “Infeccion”. The Sex Organs (who hail from Amsterdam via Zurich) just leave a wet patch with “Lubrication”, an apparent ode to the joys of rubbing one out.
Oddness continues with ET Explore Me’s “Drvolume 5ug Me”, a funk-tinged ode to mood altering marked by distorted fuzz organ and a boogie thump-and-rumble bottom-end. Oh that the rest of the Netherlands was this strange.
The Dead Brothers swiped “Mean Blue Spirit” from the Kinks circa “Something Else” which is some kinda compliment. Strings add to the air of oddness. Alas, they are now defunct following the passing of key member Alain Croubalian last month.

REVIEWS:

the Vinyl District (USA)
NEW RELEASE PICK: V/A, Voodoo Rhythm Label Compilation Vol. 5 (Voodoo Rhythm) This Swiss label is run by Beat Zeller, aka The Beat-Man, aka The Reverend Beat-Man, aka a beautifully twisted cat if ever one was (though we’ve never met). Burrowing into a stylistic zone that’s not far from the great Billy Childish, except it’s swampier and more bluesy (and with flashes of strangeness that are almost Beefheartian), The Beat-Man has been cranking out steaming hot hunks of rant and distortion since the 1980s, with the Voodoo Rhythm label commencing operations in 1992 to document his own prolificacy plus records by those of a similar temperament. The discography now runs well into the hundreds. As I’ve only been soaking up Voodoo Rhythm’s wares for the last 5-6 years, I haven’t heard it all, but it’s still been long enough to have gotten acquainted with a sizable percentage of what’s on this comp. Chances are you haven’t, so let’s give it a rundown.

Right up front, there’s the garage-punk stomp of the Beat-Man’s band The Monsters, followed by the drum-box punk thud of the Bad Mojos, and then some trash dumpster Troggs action from Destination Lonely. There’s the reverb drenched punk-blues throb of Sloks, a zonked busker-billy Venom cover by Rev. Beat-Man and Izobel Garcia, the demented retro-pop of Garcia’s own track, and then a strong dose of Chess Records-inspired punk pound by Trixie and the Trainwrecks. And with the Tom Waits vibes of Degurutieni, things get even more interesting. There’s the decidedly KBD-like track by Nestter Donuts, an ode to well-lubed onanism by Sex Organs, the acid-bent Gibson Bros. fumes of Roy and the Devil’s Motorcycle, a fuzz-punk rave-up by The Devils, the twisted trio chug of E.T. Explore Me, the moody, dare I say goth blues of Honshu Wolves, and a Jimbo Mathus-like closer by The Dead Brothers. And it’s all grooved into a picture disc. My normal reaction to picture discs is to stick those fuckers on the roof, but this one looks pretty cool. It sounds even better. A-

Kompilacija Voodoo Rhythm Records-a “Voodoo Rhythm Label Compilation Vol.5” uvrstila je najbolje od najboljih na svoju listu –the Monsters, Bad Mojos, Destination Lonely, Sloks, Reverend Beat-Man, Izobel Carcia, Trixie and the Trainwrecks, Degurutieni, Nestter Donuts, the Sex Organs, Roy and the Devils Motorcycle, The Devils, E.T. – Explore me, i the Dead Brothers sudjeluju na ovom fantastičnom mixu koji pršti prljavom pravom Rock ‘n’ Roll energijom.
Kako sam vlasnik labela, Beat Zeller, kaže: “Stay Trash”. Švicarski the Monsters singlom “smell my tongue” suptilno najavljuju i svoj novodolazeći album “You’re Class I’m Trash” dok Degurutieni iz Japana svojom “Acme in The Afternoon” napada sve obožavatelje koji uživaju “sick groove” singlove snimljene aparaturama iz prošlog stoljeća.
Do tada, nabavite kompilaciju ovdje

INDIE ROCKS (MEX)

FEAR AND LOATHING (USA)
From the label run by the infamous Reverend Beat Man and subtitled ‘A Label Compilation to Ruin Any Party’, you should already know that this album is going to contain some pretty incendiary sounds. Well, from the very beginning it delivers the goods! Kicking-off with ‘Smell My Tongue’ by The Monsters, we’re faced with some of the most raucous garage-punk since The Mummies, quickly followed by Bad Mojos and their aptly entitled ‘Crash & Burn’ which keeps the energy levels right off the scale… After an upbeat start like this you might be expecting more of the same, but the album also offers a varied selection of styles. Reverend Beat Man himself appears alongside Izobel Garcia with a truly inspired cover of the Venom classic ‘Black Metal’, stripped down to a Voodoo-inspired swampy-blues style… (Izobel also offers some exotica-tinged blues of her own…) Trixie & The Trainwrecks deliver the insanely catchy ‘Too Good to be Blue’, somewhere inbetween the Headcoatees and Detroit Cobras while Degurutieni delve into the kind of territory often covered by Tom Waits. Nestter Donuts and The Devils take us back to full-throttle garage-sounds, followed by The Sex Organs and their entertaining bad taste ditty, ‘Lubrication’. Honshu Wolves are represented by the excellent ‘Tell Me’ from their recent album ‘Cosmic Creature Capture’ (one of the best records released this year!) and the compilation comes to a close with The Dead Brothers with their lounge-jazz styling ‘Mean Blue Spirit’. I haven’t mentioned every band included on this album, but you can trust me, there isn’t a bad track on here. If you want to check out this label and discover a whole new selection of great bands, this is the ideal place to start. Buy it soon and play it loud! (Collectors beware – this album is also available as a snazzy picture disk!)

Jüngst erschien mit „A Label Compilation To Ruin Any Party Volume 5“ zum fünften Mal eine umfassende Labelcompilation.
15 Songs zwischen Garage, Beat und Punk
Neben unseren aktuellen Coverhelden THE MONSTERS sind unter anderem BAD MOJOS, THE DEAD BROTHERS, Reverend Beat-Man and Izobel Garcia, THE DEVILS und Nestter Donuts auf der Compilation vertreten. „A Label Compilation To Ruin Any Party Volume 5“ erscheint auf Vinyl, CD und digital.

Da will man doch sofort lieber das Original hören.
