| Just like the late Jessie Mae Hemphill, Becky Lee ( Becky Lee Walters) is a renegade and Lonely She-Wolf in the world of men dominated Blues Rock'n'Roll. She is one of the world's few female one (wo)man bands plays guitar, kick drum, snare w/a foot pedal and floor tom with her strum hand with such co-ordination you could swear it was a 4 piece band. Born and grown up in the hot desert of Arizona Becky Lee has been touring America and Europe with her Drunkfoot constantly since 2008 and has shared stages with the likes of Reverend Beat-man, Jay Reatard, The Oblivians, Black Diamond Heavies, Sophie Hunger & Evelinn Trouble (they had a trio), Delaney davidson, kitty daisy & lewis. She is one of those girls you see and you think....aw what a neat girl J.. but Beware she's in a Perfoming !! it's a Constant Fight between Heaven and Hell she's fighting struggling with her whole life and you can feel and hear this very Loud and Direct in her music. .. Becky has it all and she's a Hell of a Songwriter. Her debut Album on Voodoo Rhythm Records includes 11 ORIGINAL RECODINGS, of a Woman that Must be heard, if you miss this you miss Life in general a must buy and A MUST SEE! Genau so wie die verstorbene Jessie Mae Hemphill ist Becky Lee ist eine Einsame Wölfin in der von Männern dominierten Blues und Trash Rock’n’roll Szene. Sie ist eine der raren und wunderbaren One Woman Bands ( sie nennt’s NO MAN BAND ) weltweit, spielt Gitarre, Kickdrum, floortom, hi hat und singt dazu gleichzeitig.. man muss es gesehen haben um es zu glauben. Geboren in der Wüste Von Arizona tourt diese Ausnahmerscheinung seit 2008 konstant durch die Welt und teilte längst Bühnen mit KultBands der Szene wie Jay Reatard, The Oblivians, Black Diamond Heavies,BOB LOG III, Kitty Daisy & Lewis, Delaney Davidson, , sowie ihrem Schweizer Freundeskreis Reverend Beat-man, Sophie Hunger and Evelinn Trouble. Becky Lee lebte als 18 Jährige einige Jahre in der Schweiz in Bern ( Besetzes Hüttendorf Zaffaraya ) wo sie als Lindi Hop Tanz Lererin Arbeitete und Sich dann Das Gitarren Spiel beibrachte mit den Riot Grrrls Sophie Hunger und Evelinn Trouble formierte sie ein Trio und lieferte legendäre Konzerte gab. Aber auch eben Vorallem Solo macht Becky Lee von sich reden ‚ein Charmanter Hurricane’ der nichts mehr so hinterlässt wie es einmal war, sehr Charismatisch und in Ausgepräter Partystimmung hinterlässt sie unverkennliche spuren in jedem club oder Festival wo sie je gespielt hatte, seit 2008 hatte sie auch schon ettliche aufnahmen gemacht unter anderem mit Oli Bösch ( Züri West) aber war nie zufrieden Heute im Jahre 2012 ists endlich da das erste Album ‚Hello Black Halo’ auch dies hatte ca ein Jahr gedauert ( 2 verschidene Studios und 100 verschidene mixes ) bis Becky und Voodoo Rhythm zufrieden waren
spiegelt ihre Musik alle ups und downs wieder sind ihre auftritte von spannung und Dynamik geprägt man spürt und hört den Kampf ihres Lebens ..Sie ist eines dieser Mädchen wo du sagst.. ach ist die Süss.. aber ajajaj.. BECKY LEE bringt Männer Jeans zum Brennen und Herzen zum schmelzen. Sie ist “a HELL OF A SONGWRITER”
