Garbage Punk From Bern Switzerland three Anti-chord chainsaw punk rockers that makes you wanna kick your boss in the balls and piss on a cop car. Sounds like an Disturbed Oi!-Band covering Blues and Garage Punk Nuggets from the mid 60's whilst looking like a shits crap"

Three Chord Simple as Fuck Chainsaw Massacre Fast Teen Punk from Berne, Switzerland, their second Voodoo Rhythm Album after ‚i hope you OD in 2018, they went back to the Swamp Lands Studios with Lo Spider and this time as well to Shirts off Studios in Switzerland for a couple tracks, and we have 17!!!! Songs on a Long player .. totaly short killers between 1 and 3 minutes the most. Switzerland's not a place for UNDERGROUND music? you may think but we'll show you differently, Switzerland had the most powerful banks in the world, inventors of the RED CROSS but export weapons to war zones, the richest people in the world live here .. so you can say that Switzerland is the only country in the world where it is legitimate to form a punk rock band to make up for it, from Bern and surrounding areas come the probably craziest and most underrated bands in Switzerland (Grauzone, The Monsters, Lightning Beat -Man, Glueams, Eigernordwand, Omni Selassi, Pig Sweat, Nasty Rumers etc) We are very proud to present to you the new generation in Swiss Underground Music and here we go with the one and only Bad Mojos 2nd Full Length Album

REVIEWS

NEW NOISE (USA)
Bad Mojos are back; what has humanity done to deserve THIS?!
A reasonable assumption is that most artists are naturally driven to have their work evolve into another plateau over their careers. So, when it took Bad Mojos four years to release their follow-up to their abrasive second album, I Hope You OD, the expectation was they take the time to incorporate new elements and up their game on the equally abrasive follow-up Songs That Make You Wanna Die.
Well, Bad Mojos have both foiled and reminded us that they are content with their blunt style of numbskull punk rock and see no reason to change what formula is clearly working for them.
Since following Bad Mojos’ career, this is what their philosophy has demonstrated; sticking to what works, and the muddier the production, the better the songs sound. The knuckle-dragging, punk rock fury presented in the Swiss trio’s seventeen tracks on Songs That Make You Wanna Die shows that their knack for taking influence continues to draw from negativity, cretinism, and the eat/fuck/kill urges of the reptilian brain.
As dark as that last statement is, you need to appreciate the crude facets of this brand of caveman rock in all its rudimentary production and absurdly simple songwriting rounded with misanthropic lyrics and three-chord playing that’s wholly caked in distortion to the point where it seems they are compensating for lack of playing skill. That breakdown is not a knock on the band’s musicianship level either, only an observation of the band’s hilarious, gut-punch style of playing. Their new album sounds like a Formula One engine explosion with buzzsaw guitars and vocals that sound like they are shouting in an empty warehouse.
The 17 songs that round out Songs That Make You Wanna Die are written in the typical hit-it-quit-style the preceding I Hope You OD LP carries with the sessions split between Swampland Studios in Toulouse, France and Shirt Off Studios in Bern, Switzerland.
Now, the music on Songs That Make You Wanna Die is not going to change track by track when the false intro to the opening of “Crash and Burn” instantly becomes a pedal-to-the-metal riptide for the first 1:37 of the album but with a band that takes apparent influences from the simplicity of bands like The Spits and The Ramones, what else would you expect? The Ramones effect is evident in the chord structure and titling of the outcast anthem “I Wanna Be Rejected.” Still, with universally appealing lyrics that apply to any social group, one finds unsettling or flat-out ridiculous. In “Protect and Surf” and “Summer of Hate,” you will hear countless other punk songs in the same basic three chords both pieces carry but hey, adhering to their songwriting’s Keep It Simple, Stupid method is doing them favors across Songs That Make You Wanna Die. If Bad Mojos take another four years to release a third album, so be it. Maybe the world will be in a much weirder place than it is now, which would only inspire and enable these three guys. There is a feeling nothing much (if anything) will change with Bad Mojos sound; the fact the band took four years to release this album shows they are pretty shameless. Songs That Make You Wanna Die will see daylight through Voodoo Rhythm Records

FEAR AND LOATING (USA)
The Bad Mojos are a Swiss trio with an emphasis on both Garage and Punk. Their songs are kept as minimal as they can be, the tempos are as fast as they can be, and the distorted guitars as nasty as they can be… But the best bit is that, they don’t waste a single thing. The melodies are there, the attitude is centre-stage and the energy levels are high-enough to take your skull off! As Voodoo Rhythm point out, these guys could even pass as a (great) Oi-band, albeit one that covers the very best Garage tunes from back in the Sixties. They’re not afraid to half-inch a few riffs, but only if they can be adopted toward their forward-momentum. Did I hear some classic Status Quo chords during ‘Cold Blooded Murder’? Yes, I think I did and I love them even more because of it. Seventeen songs and not a single one over 2 minutes 27 seconds… Goddamnit, these guys know how to get it done! The vocals are distorted to death, which is a shame, as I’d really like to know what they’re singing about on songs like ‘Nazi Hunter’ and ‘Alien Suicide’, but that’s only a minor gripe. Basically, if you want a vital shot of adrenalin and damn the torpedoes, this is an album that’s’ gonna hit all the right spots. Be warned, it’s not for the weak-hearted, but the lively are gonna love it!

just some punk songs
Bad Mojos, the lo-fi garage punk trio from Bern in Switzerland make their 4th Just Some Punk Songs appearance today with a track from a fuzztastic new album titled Songs That Make You Want To Die. (If you want to check out their 3 previous write ups click here : https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/search?q=bad+mojos).
I was trying to think of a way of describing them that's better than my usual simplistic "Spits inspired" shtick but I can't think of a better way than what's on their Bandcamp page... "three Anti-chord chainsaw punk rockers that makes you wanna kick your boss in the balls and piss on a cop car." The album's a generous helping of 17 tasty treats; catchy garage rockers about dangerous driving nazis, voices in your head leading you to commit murder, Charles Manson, dying aliens, hunting down fascists etc... Every ones a fat free (nothing over 3 minutes) scuzzed up pop gem, you can get it on vinyl from Voodoo Rhythm Records https://www.voodoorhythm.com/ and as a digital download : https://bad-mojos-voodoo-rhythm.bandcamp.com/album/songs-that-make-you-wanna-die
It's time to toss a coin to choose which song to highlight. I'm gonna go with the one about being ready to explode. This is H-Bomb...

ARTNOIR (CH)
Text: David Spring

FLIGHT 13 (DE)
LP inkl Inlayposter Booklet + Free Brainfuck. CD kommt im doppelten Gatefold-Jacket inkl. 12-seitigem Booklet. Geil, Alde/r! * Voodoo Rhythm
