Hätten sie's gewusst? Die DEL-GATORS, im kanadischen Montreal ansässig, sind die Band der kleinen Schwester des großen King Khan. Yepp, als der nämlich beschloss, sich in Kassel niederzulassen, war's irgendwie auch mit den SPACESHITS vorbei, und aus deren Asche sowie zwei Leuten von den SEXAREENOS bzw.

DAYLIGHT LOVERS entstanden dann die DEL-GATORS. Die haben ihr Album mit Jim Diamond von den DIRTBOMBS in Detroit aufgenommen, der wiederum auch die DETROIT COBRAS produziert hat, und so schließt sich der Kreis: man nehme etwas SPACESHITS, packe etwas DIRTBOMBS dazu und viel DETROIT COBRAS (der Vergleich drängt sich zugegebenermaßen wegen des Gesangs von Frontfrau Jenna auf) dazu, und fertig ist ein Album extraordinaire, eine stampfende, shakende R&B-Rock'n'Roll-Platte mit Hitpotential.

Und schon wieder eine großartige Platte auf Voodoo Rhythm - wie macht der Kerl das nur? (Ach ja, die CD ist auf Sympathy erschienen.
