The Gospel Pimps are the Alter Ego of Germany’s well Known and Respected THE JUKE JOINT PIMPS, astead of focusing themselves to the Rawside of Chicago’s Rhythm n Blues are from the late 40’s early 50’s the Gospel Pimps got inspired by the RAW POWER of Early Black Louisiana Gospel Singing Groups , they Even Invited a Gospel Choir into the Studio to Record Some of the songs.. the Band got inspired as well trough the Peacock and the SAVOY catalogue  bands such as THE STAPLE SINGERS , FIVE BLIND BOYS OF ALABAMA or even the ‘early’  GOLDEN GATE QUARTET  are big influence in their recordings … we are happy to produce their first 7” Vinyl Single on Voodoo Rhythm Records

Die GOSPEL PIMPS  sind das Alter Ego von den viel gelobten und Respektierten THE JUKE JOINT PIMPS, anstatt sich wie die JJP an den Anfang des Rock’n’roll und Rhythm n Blues in Chicago des Ende 40’er jahre und begin 50er Jahre zu orientieren machten sie die reise in den Tiefen Süden nach Louisiana um sich mit dem Peacock und dem Savoy Label Songbook bekannt zu machen... bands wie the Staple Singers, Five Blind Boys of Alabama oder das Golde Gate Quartet standen hier als Vorbilder zur verfügung, sie Luden sogar einen Gospel Chor ins studio ein um die Songs einzuspielen, wir sind stolz darauf ihnen nun die erste Veröffentlichung dieser Gospel Vormation vorstellen zu können
